【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheamountofmoisturepresentingreasewool,scouredwool,cardedwool,garnettedwool,wooltopandintermediatewoolproducts,androvings,bydistillationwithtoluene.1.2Equationsaregivenforcalculatingtheamountofwaterpresentasmoisturecontent(as-receivedbasis)andmoistureregain(dryfiber)basis.Thetermthatcorrespondstothebasisusedinthecalculationandreportmustalwaysbestated.1.3Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletomaterialknowntocontainanysteam-distillable,water-solublematter.Ifitissuspectedthatsuchmatterispresent,themethodshouldbeusedwithcaution.1.4Xyleneorothersolventsshouldnotbesubstitutedfortolueneasnoothersolventshavebeenevaluatedforuseinthisstandard.Note18212;Thedeterminationofmoistureinwoolbyoven-dryingiscoveredinTestMethodD1576andfortextilematerialsingeneralinTestMethodsD2654.AmethodforsamplingwoolforthedeterminationofmoistureinwooliscoveredinPracticeD2525.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyprecautionarystatements,seeSection8.
