MIL-HDBK-1530, DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE HANDBOOK: AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY PROGRAM, GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR (31 OCT 1996) [SUPERSEDING MIL-STD-1530A]., The purpose of this standard is to describe the Air Force Aircraft Structural Integrity Program, define the overall requirements necessary to achieve structural integrity of USAF airplanes, and specify acceptance methods of contractor compliance. NOTE: Mil-Std-1530 has been re-designated as a Handbook, and is to be used for guidance purposes only. For administrative expediency, the only physical change from Mil-Std-1530 is this cover page. However, this document Is no longer to be cited as a requirement. If cited as a requirement, Contractors may disregard the requirement of this document and Interpret its contents only as guidance.
