【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareintendedtoprovidetheuserwithdataonproductshockfragilitythatcanbeusedinchoosingoptimum-cushioningmaterialsforshippingcontainersorforproductdesignmodification.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverdeterminationoftheshockfragilityofproducts.Thisfragilityinformationmaybeusedindesigningshippingcontainersfortransportingtheproducts.Itmayalsobeusedtoimproveproductruggedness.Unitorconsumerpackages,whicharetransportedwithinanoutercontainer,areconsideredtobetheproductforthepurposesofthesetestmethods.Twotestmethodsareoutlined,asfollows:1.1.1TestMethodAisusedfirst,todeterminetheproduct'scriticalvelocitychange.1.1.2TestMethodBisusedsecond,todeterminetheproduct'scriticalacceleration.1.2Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection.
