【摘要】:Hardnessofamaterialisapoorlydefinedtermthatmayhavemanymeaningsdependingonthetypeoftestperformedandtheexpectationsofthepersoninvolved.TheLeebhardnesstestisofthedynamicorreboundtype,whichprimarilydependsbothontheplasticandontheelasticpropertiesofthematerialbeingtested.Theresultsobtainedareindicativeofthestrengthanddependentontheheattreatmentofthematerialtested.TheLeebhardnesstestisasuperficialdeterminationonlymeasuringtheconditionofthesurfacecontacted.Theresultsgeneratedatthatlocationdonotrepresentthepartatanyothersurfacelocationandyieldnoinformationaboutthematerialatsubsurfacelocations.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheLeebhardnessofsteel,caststeel,andcastiron(PartA),includingthemethodsfortheverificationofLeebhardnesstestinginstruments(PartB),andthecalibrationofstandardizedtestblocks(PartC).Note1Theoriginaltitleofthisstandardwas"StandardTestMethodforEquotipHardnessTestingofSteelProducts."1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
