【摘要】:Inorganicresiduesfromplasticsashingmaybeantiblock,fillers,reinforcements,catalystresidues,colorants,etc.Thequantitativeamountsofeachareimportantvariablesofthemanufacturingprocess.1.1Thistestmethodwasdevelopedtodeterminetheinorganiccontentofplasticsbydestructiveashingprocedures.Ashlevelsof0.01%orabovearecoveredbythistestmethod.1.2Theseashingproceduresareusedonlytoquantifytheresidualsolidsinthepolymerandcannotbeusedtoidentifytheindividualchemicalcomponentsoftheash,qualitatively.1.3Thistestmethodislimitedtothosematerials(includingglass)thatarestableto900176;C.TestMethodD2584isrecommendedforunknownsamples,andininstanceswherefusionoftheinorganicportionsmaybeofconcern.1.4Fluorinatedpolymersandpolymerscontaininghalogenatedcomponentshavenotbeenincludedintheseprocedures.1.5Twoproceduresfordeterminingtheinorganicresidueinplasticsarelistedasfollows:1.5.1ProcedureAMuffle-FurnaceTechnique-For5-50gramsamples.Samplesareflamedoveraburnerpriortobeingashedinamufflefurnace.1.5.2ProcedureBRapid-AshMuffle-FurnaceTechnique-For5-50gramsamples.Samplesareignitedandashedinamufflefurnace.Formoreefficientashing,theplasticsampleshouldbeintheformofpowderorpellet.Note1ProcedureBissimilartoISO3451/1-1981(E).1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSection9forspecificprecautionarystatements.
