【摘要】:Thisstandardregulatestheinstallationandmaintenanceofassembliesanddevicesusedtoprotectopeningsinwalls,floors,andceilingsagainstthespreadoffireandsmokewithin,into,oroutofbuildings.ThefireperformanceevaluationoftheseassembliesistestedinaccordancewithNFPA251,StandardMethodsofTestsofFireEnduranceofBuildingConstructionandMaterials,forhorizontalaccessdoors;NFPA252,StandardMethodsofFireTestsofDoorAssemblies,forfiredoorsandshutters;andNFPA257,StandardonFireTestforWindowandGlassBlockAssemblies,forfirewindowsandglassblock.Itisnottheintentofthisstandardtoestablishthedegreeofprotectionrequiredortoconstitutetheapprovalofanyproduct.Thesearedeterminedbytheauthorityhavingjurisdiction.Thisstandardisbasedonproductandengineeringpracticesrecognizedasacceptableatthedateofissue.Therefore,theprovisionsofthisstandardarenotintendedtobeappliedretroactivelytoinstallationsthatwereincomplianceatthetimeofinstallation.Incineratordoors,recordroomdoors,andvaultdoorsarenotcoveredinthisstandard.Forrequirementsontheirinstallation,seeNFPA82,StandardonIncineratorsandWasteandLinenHandlingSystemsandEquipment,andNFPA232,StandardfortheProtectionofRecords.Forrequirementsontheinstallationofhoistwaydoorsforelevatorsanddumbwaiters,seetheapplicablesectionsofASME/ANSIA17.1,SafetyCodeforElevatorsandEscalators,orCAN3-B44,SafetyCodeforElevators.Requirementsforhorizontallysliding,verticallysliding,andswingingdoorsasusedinthisstandarddonotapplytohoistwaydoorsforelevatorsanddumbwaiters.Thisstandarddoesnotcoverfire-resistantglazingmaterialsandhorizontallyslidingaccordionorfoldingassembliesfabricatedforuseaswallsandtestedaswallassembliesinaccordancewithNFPA251,StandardMethodsofTestsofFireEnduranceofBuildingConstructionandMaterials.Consulttheauthorityhavingjurisdictionforthedesignandinstallationofsuchmaterialsandassemblies.
